Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Leonardo Electronics within the UK are underway with their Digital Transformation Programme in support of their Service Architecture which encompasses the whole of their IT4IT and ITIL process areas. As we continue the shift to SIAM with an emphasis on Scaled Agile and modern product management practices.
We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with experience of large-scale business transformations and knowledge as a service solution architect will work on end-to-end project solutions and consider the exploitation of servicenow , EA toolset, BMS (process), Atlassian and toolsets to enable SAM, HAM, SPM, Cyber , Automation/Orchestration and ITIL tooling , together with experience of applying architecture standards consistent with the TOGAF standard, ArchiMate modelling and Secure by Design frameworks within an Enterprise Architecture repository and toolset.
This role will operate as the lead Solution Architect Data technologies and their exploitation.
The role is remote based with flexibility to travel when required.
What you’ll do as a Solution Architect:

Provide Solution Architecture leadership across multiple programmes and projects, leading a team of architects from both internal and external suppliers. Capturing, sustaining, and reusing the architecture in adherence with Leonardo Enterprise Architecture policy, standards, principles and utilising established patterns and reference architectures.

  • Establish a programme and domain Solution Architecture Board (SRB) to assure presented high level and low-level architectures, capturing key design decisions, and facilitating waiver requests where appropriate and required.
  • In conjunction with the Enterprise Architect, develop and maintain the Service Architecture roadmap and ensure alignment with business strategy.
  • Orchestrate across the solution lifecycle - process, data, applications, and integration domains to ensure that all elements of design and build are in synch and aligned to Target Business Architectures.
  • Lead and support on the assessment and review of architecture decisions in line with programme and Leonardo architecture governance processes.
  • Creation and assurance of Leonardo architecture deliverables – High Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), interim and to-be processes, solution blueprints and other documentation as required.
  • Help project and agile teams in reviewing requests and upholding the fit-to-standard principles, understanding the architectural significance and impact on the existing estate.
  • Provide additional bandwidth to increase coverage of the detail design and assess technology impact of the ongoing design. Work with existing Engineering, Manufacturing, data and technology teams in support of template and interim state architecture and solutions.
  • Design and architecture of system landscapes to ensure consistent deployment strategies.
  • Design and architecture of integration patterns for different use cases and security concepts, adhering to the secure by design framework.
  • Leadership of virtual teams and resources from both internal and external teams

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

5-7 years’ experience as a Solution Architecture with a strong focus of Azure expertise in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, Proven track record migrating legacy environments to Azure, Strong understanding of modern network, security and identity services.

  • Experience with ServiceNow , e-bonding, discovery and exploitation
  • Experience with Service Architectures including process, tooling and data for IT4IT and ITIL
  • Experience with working with suppliers in a SIAM model both internal and external and agreeing standards for data exchange
  • Experience in secure by design
  • Experience in establishing and facilitating solution architecture and technical design authority boards.
  • Experience with data platforms and their exploitation, Integration Technologies, Cloud Platforms and Industrial IoT.
