WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Customer Engineering Service Technicians are part of Industrial Gases Operations organisation which provides maintenance services to IG Customer Sites and IG Operations Production facilities in the UK&I. These services are primarily focused on practical work at the various Customer Engineering Sites and IG Operations Production facilities.
Service Engineers are responsible for troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, PSSR inspections, installation and removal of equipment. They will also support Customer Engineering Projects and commissioning/decommissioning activities for installations.
The Customer Engineering Service Technician job holder will be part of a Call Out Rota in support of the Customer Engineering Customers and will be expected to be able to respond to Emergency Call outs 24/7.

UK&I SERVICE TECHNICIANS PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES ARE:

Ensuring Safe Operation and Legal Compliance of the sites.
Ensuring All Legal Inspections are carried out safely and correctly.
Respond to Un-planned Corrective Maintenance in a timely manner.
Maintain documentation correctly.
Provide support for UK&I Customer Engineering Customers & IG Operations: equipment would include but not limited to the following: Process plant instrumentation of various types (e.g. pressure, temperature, flow, level, measurement, Gas detection)
Safety device maintenance – e.g. Pressure relief valves, bursting discs
Shutdown systems
Controls systems such as PLC
Analysers of various types
Control and switching valves of various types
Pneumatic Control Systems
Instrumentation in ATEX Zone Areas, to include protection methods for EExd and EEXia systems.
