SERVICE TECHNICIAN - GAS DETECTION

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Good working knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
- Experience of low voltage installations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings (BCD’s, schematics, wiring diagrams etc.)
- Appreciation of health and safety practices.
- Full and clean driving license.
- Competency in Microsoft Office packages including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
Desirable Requirements: (Training will be provided if you don’t have the following)
- Competent with test and measurement devices such as Multimeter, Druck etc.
- Practical and theoretical knowledge of Gas Detection.
- Experience of working within an Industrial environment.
- Gas Detection servicing systems (e.g. Status, Crowcon and Darger)

Responsibilities:
- Service, commissioning and remote support of Velcorin chemical dosing units for the drinks industries.
- Installation, commissioning and maintenance of gas detection equipment including but not limited to mobile and fixed gas detectors, control panels and safe to enter systems.
- Compiling detailed service reports with fault diagnostics and Customer recommendations where applicable.
- Working closely with the operations Coordinator (Service) to monitor and maintain the TTL consignment stock for Gas Detection / Lanxess Customers.
- Working closely with the After Sales Manager to resolve technical queries and identify revenue opportunities for the department.
- Provide in-house support to the Manufacturing Department as required.
- Responsible for their own health and safety and that of others and undertake the obligations as defined within the TTL H&S Manual.
- Assist in the implementation of the TTL Quality Assurance, Environmental Management System, abide and promote its Policies and Procedures.
