Job Description
Service Technician must maintain strong local service capability to provide the support required to channel NZ Refinery contract and for this to succeed its imperative that we show and maintain a reliable service and delivery capability , that along with our PNG service and support for Oceania looking at the competitive landscape AES operate a service capability in NZ that supports the local market .
Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Stripping, assessing, rebuilding, and testing mechanical seals, couplings, and associated equipment
  • Consistent and timely completion of Service-related documentation including repair work quotations and parts planning
  • Scheduling jobs for repair and prioritizing work
  • Complete inspection and test plans consistent with meeting the required corporate compliance standards
  • Collecting and providing information to the team for successful delivery solutions to customers
  • Assist in root cause analysis investigations
  • Offer troubleshooting advice and reliability solutions in conjunction and collaboration with company technical personnel as required
  • Complete periodic reporting requirements as agreed with management
  • Capable of managing and maintaining a clean workshop to cooperate standards
  • Work with sales and technical support staff in generating business opportunities
  • Work with document control systems
  • Attend customer sites to provide Service-related support as required
  • Development and maintenance of systems and computer skills as required
  • Other duties as required
  • Works closely with Internal Sales, Service and Operations Teams
  • Working relationships with all JC employees Globally

The Individual

Skills and Experience:

  • Two+ years industry experience post apprenticeship in rotating machinery – including product machining (turning, drilling, milling) and hands on experience with rotating equipment preferred
  • Trade certificate or equivalent
  • A professional knowledge of functional computer skills with common software
  • Experience in SAP Sales and Distribution is preferred
