Job Overview:
Reporting to the Business Line Manager , the Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, installation, and repair services for a company’s products or equipment at customer locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on commissioning, troubleshooting, service, and repair of cryogenic pumps and related equipment for the LNG and industrial gases industries.
  • Performs inhouse repairs of Cryogenic Pump and Turbo expander Components as well as other tasks as assigned.
  • Provide high level technical support to customers at their location, handle warranty requests and respond to customer questions.
  • Provide on-site equipment training to customers, and support installation, commissioning, repair, and spare parts management.
  • Create service reports and maintain service information in the company enterprise database.
  • Timely and professionally handle service calls and issues arising from the service visits.
  • Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary corrective actions.
  • Timely complete and submit all required paperwork.
  • Fit, align, and adjust all components, including bearings and seals and units to close tolerances and document all clearances on assembly clearance data sheet for review and approval of engineering.
  • Check work to ensure conformance to specifications, instructions customer requirements on all drawings and work instructions per SOP procedures.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and work area in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Follow all Quality, Engineering, Sales, and Safety Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in the field.
  • Experience with cryogenic equipment whereas experience with gas turbines and pumps would be a plus.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented environment is essential.
  • Technically competent with mechanics and knowledge of mechanical parts.
  • Can adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Ability to travel freely in UK and Ireland as well as internationally as needed.
  • Ability to communicate with customers at all levels.
  • Technical mindset combined with a high degree of customer orientation.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively.
  • Well-versed in technical aspects of field projects, including rotating machinery and equipment.
  • Organized self-starter with the ability to proactively plan their daily work schedule.
  • High energy level with Right from me attitude.
  • Fluent spoken and written English skills are required.
