Service technician – Oceanbird in Landskrona

What will you do?
Oceanbird is now moving into the realization phase of our wing sails. During the years to come, we will test our first full-scale prototypes and at the same time prepare for moving into a commercial phase with focus on getting the wing sail out on the market.
Oceanbird is looking for a self-going Service technician for our site in Landskrona. Here we will assemble and test the first full-size wing sails. You will be part of the team with various tasks such as assembly, test and handling of goods. You will also perform service of the wing sail on our first ship installation.
In this role, you will:
- Assemble and do service on hydraulic system.
- Support and supervise assembly and manufacturing by our local suppliers.
- Assemble and do service on sensors and control equipment.
- Participate and run functional tests.
- Support in performing various system tests and act as a “superuser” of the wing system during system demonstrations and crew education.
- Performance service on board our first ship installation.
- Receive and do inspection of goods.
- Look after our equipment.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Most likely been working as a service technician or similar with complex products. You are familiar with mechanical assembly, hydraulics and control systems.
- A genuine technical interest.
- Have a problem-solving mindset.
- Knowledge in reading drawings, both electrical and mechanical.
- Solution driven and organized.
- Good communication skills
- Able to work with many different tasks in parallel.
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
- Marine experience is a merit.
- An interest in sustainability and a willingness to contribute to a better future.
