(MOBILE) SERVICE TECHNICIAN / SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Service Technician at Permobil, you will be responsible for performing service work on our products, ensuring customers’ and users’ technical service needs are met efficiently. You will handle troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of our products, delivering high-quality service that ensures product reliability. Additionally, you will manage and maintain the spare parts warehouse, ensuring parts are readily available and inventory is well-organized. This role requires a proactive, solution-oriented individual who is committed to delivering exceptional customer service and technical support.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- High school diploma from technical education e.g. mechanic/electrical engineering (mechatronic) or comparable finalized technical apprentice education.
- 3-5 years technical service / support or similar
- B driving license
- Local certifications where applicable
- Detailed spare part and product knowledge
- High technical and practical understanding and good knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering
- Ability to read and communicate in English, French and German
- Computer / Windows skills
- Ability to define problems, suggest and adapt solutions, implement solutions (always using the standard solution when possible) and able to describe solutions to key stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- Perform services, repairs and maintenance work on the entire Permobil Product Portfolio
- Assess and perform warranty repairs
- Provide solution-based handling of customer requests and manage technical complaints and feedback
- Prepare service quotes and invoices
- Explain the value of Permobil’s parts and products to customers and users to promote sales
- Maintain spare parts warehouse, order required spare parts and return them when needed
- Provide assistance via phone and/or in the field for customers/end-users regarding technical issues
- Plan and deliver technical product training both internally and externally
