Service Technician

Our service team in Denmark is growing, and we are now looking for a new service technician based in Taastrup. In the role of Service Technician, you make a difference every day by servicing our customers with a variety of tasks that may include mechanics, electronics, and programming of power wheelchairs and manual wheelchair drivetrains.
Responsibilities:
You will have a varied working day as you independently plan the service tasks with the customers. You will have daily contact with wheelchair users, therapists, assistants and other professionals and have the opportunity to contribute to the wheelchair user’s optimal everyday life. You will mainly perform service tasks on Zealand, but the need may vary, and assignments in the rest of Denmark and in southern Sweden may occur. You get your own company car.
Service tasks can include:Performing troubleshooting, service, repair and maintenance work on the entire Permobil product portfolio. Solve various types of technical problems at customers’ homes on a daily basis. Find and risk assess technical solutions to adapt the wheelchair in accordance with current rules and processes to meet the users’ needs. Evaluate and deliver solution-based management of customer requests and user needs. Collaborate with Permobil’s local team, follow service processes, and meet documentation requirements.
Your background
We attach importance to you having the following qualifications:
Have previously worked as a service technician or with similar technical equipment
Experience of working with assistive devices and wheelchairs and knowledge of MDR are meritorious
Have a valid B driver’s license, basic computer skills
Speak and write Danish and have good knowledge of English
The optimal candidate for the job of service technician is structured, customer-focused, self-motivated, a team player and has a “Can-do attitude”. The work is very social because you will meet many different people from different backgrounds. Therefore, we would like you to be an open person with a positive attitude who likes to have contact with many different people. It is an advantage if you have experience with people with disabilities, either professionally or privately. We work on the basis of the Lean principle of, among other things, continuous improvement, so experience of this is preferable.
