JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled Instrumental Controls Technician with expertise in combustion and small burner systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems for our advanced equipment. This role will require frequent travel (60% roughly).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years’ experience as an Instrumental Controls Technician, particularly with combustion and small burner systems or Associates of Applied Science.
- Strong knowledge of control systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
- Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certifications or technical training in instrumentation, controls, or a related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the food processing industry.
- Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to industrial equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumental control systems, focusing on combustion and small burner equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical control components.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
- Document and report all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on the operation and maintenance of control systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Responsible for following client-specific CADD standards and procedures, as well as industry standards.
- Responsible for meeting deadlines agreed upon with the project managers, and if necessary to work overtime to meet project demands.
