POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose and function of this position is to provide preventative maintenance and repair services at customer locations in accordance with established procedures and methods using appropriate tools, test equipment, and replacement parts.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- High school diploma
- 2-4 years of experience or training in a technical support role or technical repair role in the biomedical device field or equivalent field is an asset.
- Previous experience in the health care industry is an asset
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical procedures, government regulations and procedural manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Ability to operate and navigate a mobile phone (Android/IOS), PC and/or tablet (Microsoft OS).
- Ability to navigate, complete, and save Adobe PDF fillable forms.
- Competency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications required (Word, Excel).
Responsibilities:
- Provide service to customers in accordance with Handicare’s terms and conditions
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and Handicare’s employees
- Accurately identifies customer expectations and needs and recommend products and services based on observed customer needs
- Participate in all training programs and demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and concepts obtained from these training programs
- Prepare and submit accurate reports on time
- Maintain expenses and required inventory within Handicare’s guidelines
- Comply with all Handicare, customer and government Health and Safety regulations
- Responsible for regular maintenance and cleanliness of vehicle
- Accountable for maintaining vehicle inventory, tool inventory, and good condition of tools provided
- Commitment to providing superior customer service
- On occasion and as required, assist with training new hires via job shadowing and demonstration of tasks.
