ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled Service Centre Technician to join our team and uphold our UK factory Approved Service Center (ASC) standard. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and pump servicing to customers, sales engineers, co-workers, and distributors.

We offer a range of fluid handling solutions across the biotech and industrial markets.

THIS ROLE WILL FOCUS ON:

  • Perform repairs and servicing of Watson Marlow pumps, including electronic and mechanical fault diagnosis.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of mechanical and electronic faults and provide detailed diagnostic reports.
  • Calibrate pumps accurately, including component-level PCB calibration and programmed keypad calibrations.
  • Carry out voltage/current signal calibrations, pumphead & tubing calibrations, and software upgrades as per factory instructions.
  • Conduct various prescribed tests to ensure repairs meet UK ASC factory standards and guarantee pump durability and performance.
  • Complete final inspections on all pumps, issuing Inspection & Release certificates and calibration documentation.
  • Prepare reports on product repairs and technical issues for internal meetings with sales and production teams.
  • Maintain high-quality standards by ensuring that all test and measuring equipment comply with quality system protocols.
  • Collaborate with the EHS Champion to uphold safety standards within the workplace.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Diploma in Electronics is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Solid experience in software programming.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation systems and communication protocols (RS485, RS323, Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet) is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards.
