ServiceNow Senior Administrator/Developer
Salary: National ranging from £51,200 to £78,700 and London from £56,400 to £80,000
The team/department
The ServiceNow Senior Associate role will include administration, customization, configuration, and integration of the platform while working in a DevOps operating model providing on-going support, maintenance, and optimization of the platform.
As a successful ServiceNow Senior Associate, you will be working within the ERP Product Group DevOps team within our Data Tech & Innovation division. Collaborating with the ERP Product Group and key business owners and SMEs, you will play the role of senior developer in a team delivering improvements to our existing ServiceNow instance and Business as Usual operations. Additionally, the identification of new opportunities for leveraging the functionality offered in the latest versions of ServiceNow.

What you will be doing (the role)

  • As a senior associate you will be responsible for administering, configuring, customising, and integrating the platform while working in a DevOps operating model. It is the responsibility of the person in this role to make sure that the instance is upgraded following the ServiceNow cadence and FCA road map
  • We expect you to provide creative solutions for customer requirements utilising the technology stack available within ServiceNow including JavaScript, Flows, Integration Hub, Workflows etc following ServiceNow and ITIL best practices
  • This role will also see you working and helping other members in an Agile team with strong focus on continuously delivering value to the customers while making sure that the Sprint goals and Product goals are achieved and is adhering to the Product Road map
  • You will also be responsible to create and maintain documentation where necessary, make sure active knowledge sharing and mentoring is happening within the team thereby avoiding technical dependency within the team
  • Participate in technical discussions with stakeholders alongside the Product owner/Tech architect to develop the understanding and context of the requirements before implementing them
  • Provide BAU support for the platform alongside other team members and participate in production releases

The skills and experience you will have
Minimum criteria

  • Experience in ServiceNow Administration and Development
  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator
  • ITIL V3/V4 Foundation accreditation

Essential criteria

  • Excellent command on the platform basics including ACLs, UI policies, Client scripts, UI actions, Business rules, Workflows, Flow Designer, Mid Server configuration and ServiceNow best practices
  • Strong experience in designing, building, and implementing solutions at least a few of these modules: ITSM, CMDB, ITOM, HRSD, SIR, SecOps, Vulnerability Response
  • Familiar with various integration methods such as Data source, REST/SOAP APIs, Integration hub etc
  • Good understanding of OOTB capabilities of ServiceNow and a hunger to keep yourself up to date with the developments in the ServiceNow world
  • You should be able to identify and implement the right solution utilising your knowledge of the capabilities of the platform
  • Ability to forge and maintain strong relationship with team members and stakeholders
  • The candidate should possess SC clearance or should be able to clear SC
