The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Winter 2025 ACCT 301 LEC 01 (Accounting Principles) on Monday/Wednesday from 17:00 - 18:15. Classes in the Winter 2025 semester run from January 13, 2025 to April 11, 2025. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between April 14, 2025 to April 25, 2025, if applicable.

The calendar description of the course:
“Introduction to basic accounting principles and practices. Emphasis is placed on the accounting cycle and the key financial statements necessary for business decisions. Introduces basic financial and managerial accounting concepts.”

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters Degree (or Bachelors Degree with senior management experience) and Charted Professional Accountant (CPA)
  • Previous post-secondary accounting teaching experience is required
  • Experience in programs such as Zoom, D2L and other digital education products would be an asset
