Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice has approximately 500 program students and offers a Diploma in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, and an Honours program.
The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice requires sessional faculty for the Winter 2025 semester and beyond to teach CRIM 211 (Indigenous Peoples, Crime and Criminal Justice). A description of this course is available at: https://www.ufv.ca/calendar/current/CourseDescriptions/CRIM.htm

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must possess at minimum a Master of Arts degree in criminology, criminal justice, or a related discipline, or a designation from a related discipline (e.g., JD, LLM), from a recognized institution. Preferred criteria include Indigenous scholars who have experience working with Indigenous Peoples on criminal justice system issues.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the subject area and teaching excellence (or the potential for teaching excellence). Preferred criteria include previous post-secondary teaching experience.
