The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Winter 2025 RMIN 579 LEC 01 (Advanced Topics in Risk Management & Insurance) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 14:00 - 15:15. Classes in the Winter 2025 semester run from January 13 to April 11, 2025. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between April 14 to April 28, 2025, if applicable.

The calendar description of the course:
¿A study of the various methods used to finance the operational risks of commercial enterprises. Key topics addressed are: alternative risk financing, reinsurance and environmental risk management.¿
QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA degree or equivalent and work experience in the field are desirable.
- Previous post secondary teaching experience is a requirement.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have experience providing instruction face-to-face in a post secondary setting.
- Experience in programs such as Zoom, D2L and other digital education products is an asset.
