David Smith Contractors Limited is a Civil Engineering Construction company based in the North East of Scotland, with the main office based in Crimond, Fraserburgh.
We are currently seeking to employ a Setting Out Engineer to join our Company. You will join a team that is working on projects predominantly within Aberdeenshire area, but we do have projects throughout North East/West Scotland.
This role will support the contract/site manager(s) as well as providing setting out services and is an excellent opportunity to develop a broad skillset that will benefit your long-term career.

Reporting to the Management Team, and duties will include but are not limited to:

• Setting out of civil engineering lines and levels
• QA & administrative responsibilities
• Promoting Health & Safety at all time and committing to continuous high standards
• Surveying tasks
• Ensuring quality control requirements are met
• Reading and understanding drawings and specifications
• Calculating quantities
• Assisting in the production of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans
• Complying with company policies and procedures
