Description:
WHAT TO EXPECT:
The Associate Human Resources Business Partner- Hub Services will report to and work alongside the Hub HR Business Partner. They will be responsible for collaborating with business leaders and employees by providing expert HR guidance and supporting employee relations. They will also support data entry, maintain, and process HR documentation, and strengthen compliance reporting. The position will support a large number of unionized frontline and management employees at an assigned location.
EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of HR experience or relevant experience with a bachelor’s or other relevant degree
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
- Technical proficiency and/or expertise with Microsoft Office (excel, Word, PowerPoint, Team, etc.), Adobe Creative Suite, etc. required
- Practical understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws
- Must be detail oriented with a strong work ethic and be able to maintain confidentiality in daily operations
- Some experience with employee investigations and managing employee relation concerns
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to multi-task required
- Team player and willingness to learn
- Some travel (depending on business need)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Familiar with CBA language and interpretation while supporting a larger, diverse unionized workforce
- Knowledge of various types of leave of absences, such as FMLA, military, VESSA, and experience with administration and tracking of leaves of absences
- Familiar with responding to unemployment claims
- Airline experience
EDUCATION:
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, and/or relative experience
