Description:

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Excellent knowledge of SharePoint 2016 hosted on premise and Online as part of M365
  • Have excellent knowledge of Windows Server Environments from Server 2003 – 2022 and how they are used to support the SharePoint instance
  • Have good general knowledge of Microsoft stack technologies such as Skype for Business/Teams, MS SQL, MS System Centre, Office365, MS Exchange & CLI tooling such as PowerShell
  • Effective communication skills and comfortable in directly engaging with customers and colleagues
  • Have excellent analysis and problem-solving skills, taking ownership of complex incidents ensuring these are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Analytical and systematic approach to technical challenges
  • Be experienced working within an ITIL framework
  • Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve day to day objectives with significant results on operational deliverables

SKILLS DESIRED:

  • Experience in migrating and upgrading a SharePoint version with minimal business disruption
  • Experience with SharePoint 2013, SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Online.
  • AWS or Cloud experience with EC2 and S3 buckets

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pre-screening to Start BPSS
  • Clearance for Role SC
  • Must possess or be able to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance

WHO WE ARE:

The Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) Programme for the UK Ministry of Defence is a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK’s defence supply chain. The programme provides essential services such as storage and distribution for the MOD’s materiel, including a global freight service and the procurement and inventory management of 70,000 commodity NATO Stock Number (NSNs).
Working together as Team Leidos we are helping to transform the UK’s defence supply chain by providing an integration of a complex mixture of services, at low risk, using a modern suite of systems that will deliver one version of the truth. For the first time, the MOD will see the whole picture, as it is happening.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented SharePoint Engineer to join our dynamic team. Within this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of the SharePoint environment, ensuring seamless integration with other business systems and improving collaboration within the organisation and with LCST colleagues.
You will also be responsible for developing and implementing SharePoint security and access controls customised to the organisation’s needs, whilst troubleshooting and providing technical support to SharePoint users. The role will also require you to collaborate closely with the IS teams to lead the planning and execution of future SharePoint upgrades and migrations required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting the SharePoint 2016 environment with a view of moving to SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Online, ensuring a high level of uptime and user satisfaction
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users, resolving issues related to permissions, workflows or document management.
  • Maintaining and building enhancements to the SharePoint 2016 instance/environment
  • Monitor SharePoint environment to ensure system availability and optimal performance
  • Manage file disaster recovery and security settings for the SharePoint environment
  • Creating and updating technical documentation and material to support the operational support service of SharePoint
  • Working closely with LCST Colleagues and Business Partners to help administer their SharePoint sites and content
