SHIFT ENGINEER

Are you a skilled and reliable Shift Engineer looking for a new opportunity? Our agency is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading coliving space in Southall, London. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join the team and ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the building during the week.
Position: Shift Engineer (Full-Time)
Location: Southall, London
Salary: £36,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure all common areas and systems are fully operational.
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls, performing necessary repairs to ensure the safety and satisfaction of all residents.
  • Perform routine testing and maintenance of building systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting.
  • Inspect and maintain building exteriors, including roofs, gutters, and siding.
  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning filters and checking motors.
  • Monitor and maintain the building’s water supply, conducting quality tests and maintaining treatment equipment.
  • Respond to resident inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with computer systems to access maintenance management software, email, and other applications.
