  • Shift Pattern = Continental shift Pattern 2 days - 2 Nights ( 4 on 4 off)

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

Safety – a great understanding of how to keep people and products safe. A level of formal safety training is preferred (IOSH or similar)
Multiskilled Skilled - with an electrical bias Engineer – Competent and qualified to work on mechanical and electrical problems, ideally with an interest or competence with PLC interrogation and problem-solving
Continuous Improvement – great understanding of how engineers play an active and key role in good manufacturing practice works and able to put theory into practice; own CI projects, take pride in delivery improvements quickly, strive for better every day - not perfect tomorrow
Communication – the ability to convey messages quickly and simply to the relevant audience.

Responsibilities:

Take ownership of the maintenance for the plant, so that it is safe and has the maximum possible uptime for production.
Identify, develop and implement improvements to the equipment and ways of working to help deliver ever-improving standards.
React promptly to unplanned downtime activities, work with operators to get lines back to safe operation as quickly as possible and undertake regular analysis to resolve root cause of top 3 downtime factors
Identify key operators and assist in developing their skills and understanding of the equipment so that they can assist with routine maintenance tasks; recognising this creates more time for the engineering team to deliver further improvements.
