JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of food service management. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in the food industry is required, with a focus on food service management or kitchen management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management within a food service context.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
  • Experience in interviewing and training staff members is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective team collaboration.
  • A background in hospitality management or as an assistant manager is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the staff during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and controlling costs through effective budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, including conducting interviews for new hires.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and oversee cash handling procedures.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service.
  • Assist in the development of operational strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with upper management to implement company policies and procedures.
