Yashili NZ Dairy Company Ltd is a state-of-the-art Infant Formula Powder and nutritional powder processing as well as a consumer packing can-filling facility in Pokeno. Ingredients are blended and dried to manufacture high-specification products. Our capacity is in place to manufacture around 60,000 tonnes per annum. Our processes are unique and diverse and we are not your run of the mill standard milk powder processing plant.
An excellent opportunity for a Shift Manager has become available. This is a fantastic position for someone to bring their existing spray dryer and dairy processing experience. This role has a huge amount of scope to build on your existing dairy experience, with heaps of opportunity to grown and develop further within the industry.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone with strong technical capability coupled with great collaborative leadership skills.
Below is what we’d like you to bring:

Essential:

• At least 2 years manufacturing leadership experience
• High level communication skills
• Quality System Practices
• Health & Safety Practices
• Computer Literate
• Exposure to ERP systems
• Food industry experience

Preferred:

• Engineering or Food Technology degree
• Lean Manufacturing
• Infant Formula Powder Knowledge
• Dairy Powder Knowledge
• Exposure to Navision
• FMCG Experience

This role is key in driving plant, people and processes within the Yashili powder production plant. In addition to being pivotal in delivering high quality product in line with the production schedule on a daily basis, the role is expected to use their knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques to generate improved plant performance over time - developing high performing teams through engagement and building capability is key. The role is expected to take a cross-shift perspective on plant performance and to drive improvements in a coordinated manner with their peers. The hours will be 12-hour shifts - 4 on and 4 off.
