Description:

Nightwind Treatment Centre (NWTC) supports youth ages 12 to 22. Our mission is to build capacity in youth to regain a healthy sense of self-identity and the skills necessary to create harmony and balance in their relationships with family, friends and the community.
NWTC is recruiting a full-time Shift Supervisor available for day and evening shifts in our Tawatinaw Valley and Sturgeon County House locations. Duties include maintaining safety, program routines, supporting youth with healthy daily living skills, cooking, cleaning, recreation, and cultural activities scheduling. Developing and maintaining healthy relationships is critical to the relational and supportive environment critical to our work. Assist staff to ensure that policies and procedures are followed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Child & Youthcare, Social Work, and/or Human Services diploma is essential.
  • Knowledge of First Nations culture is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the effect of addictions/trauma is an asset.
  • First Aid Training / Therapeutic Crisis Intervention / NVCI / Suicide Prevention Training is an asset. Will train a suitable candidate.
    All successful candidates must have a complete Record Check, which includes a Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector and Child Intervention Check (within the last 6 months
