Description:

Main Purpose:
It is the responsibility of the Aviation Operations Department to maintain our license to operate by ensuring that the products sold are handled and stored such that they meet the required mandated standards, and the facilities are designed to conform to all PUMA stringent standards, local legislation and the latest HSSE standards and that the airports are managed efficiently and safely.
The Aviation Airport Supervisor (AAS) manages a team of Aviation Refuelling Operators. He arranges the duties of the Operators so that all customers are serviced on schedule and the depot maintenance tasks are carried out. He must at all times act in a manner consistent with that of PUMA ENERGY’s standards, procedures and HSE practices.
The AAS is required to carry out all day to day tasks required to safely, effectively and efficiently operate the fuel storage facility and into-plane activity whilst maintaining the PUMA ENERGY’s Quality Control and Operating Standards. The AAS operates sophisticated, high cost mobile and fixed equipment in carrying out these tasks.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

MANDATORY EDUCATION:

A senior school leaving certificate demonstrating a recognized pass.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years experience as an Airport Refuelling Operator with a proven track record.
  • Product quality control of aviation fuels and lubricants.
  • Good HSE skills and attitude.
  • Proven track record as being able to self manage and manage, motivate and coach others.

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, safety standards, operating procedures and regulations.
  • Home language with good English communication skills,

Responsibilities:

The AS is responsible for all delegated administrative duties in the depot. These include but are not limited to:

  • Sales.
  • Stock management.
  • Overtime.
  • Petty cash.
  • Data capture and inputting.
  • Documentation for maintenance and operations tasks.
  • Incident reports
  • Defect reporting
  • The AS manages a team of Operators who come into direct contact with customers at each refuelling. At times there will be conflict and the AS is responsible for ensuring that on the shift, there is resolution to any issues.
  • He represents PUMA to the customer and ensures that relationships and well managed.
  • He communicates concerns and issues to the Depot Manager
