ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to:

  • Operate a variety of machines, tools, and equipment as required for the job.
  • Maintain visual acuity to make general observations regarding safety and accuracy of work.
  • Remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 3 hours during work shifts.
  • Stand, walk, stoop, and kneel as necessary to perform job duties.
  • Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds intermittently and repetitively lift objects weighing 3 pounds to shoulder height.
  • Utilize hand dexterity to grasp, finger, and reach items.
  • Express or exchange information verbally as needed for job-related communication.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment.
  • Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Adherence to store operating policies and standards, encompassing the provision of quality beverages and food products, cash handling, and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Six (6) months of experience in a role involving constant interaction with and fulfillment of customer requests.
  • Compliance with required dress code standards.
  • Proficient in preparing and coaching the preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including adjusting recipe components such as temperature, ingredient quantity, or substitutions.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience in delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the activities of two (2) or more employees.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and clear communication abilities.
  • Possession of a strong sense of teamwork and the capacity to influence team members positively.
  • Demonstrated integrity and initiative-taking.
  • Outgoing and friendly personality traits.
  • Ability to demonstrate urgency and effectively manage tasks under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Integrity and Promotion of Culture: Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the culture, values, and mission of Teaspoon.
  • Maintain Composure: Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to uphold operational standards and set a positive example for the shift team.
  • Operational Standards: Uphold Teaspoon’s operational standards and guidelines consistently.
  • Training and Coaching: Assist in new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. Provide feedback to the Store Manager on partner performance during shifts.
  • Store Operations: Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, organizing opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Create Learning Environment: Create a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback to partners on shift to ensure operational excellence and improve partner performance.
  • Beverage and Food Preparation: Execute Deployment guidelines to prepare beverages and food as necessary to complete orders.
  • Policy Adherence: Follow Teaspoon operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, safety, and security, ensuring the safety of all partners during each shift.
  • Cash Management: Follow all cash management and cash register policies, ensuring proper cash management practices are followed by the shift team.
  • Customer Service: Ensure customer satisfaction with drink products and ensure baristas provide CARE service. Teach and coach baristas to develop and grow operational capabilities.
  • Sales Goals: Execute and drive store daily and weekly sales goals.
  • Shift Management: Use company tools to manage shifts and uphold operations and store cleanliness standards.
  • Quality Control: Adhere to quality control standards for products.
  • Food Cost Control: Control food cost and record food waste.
  • Promotion Support: Update and support all new promotions and offer effectively.
  • Inventory Tracking: Keep detailed records of inventory flow, ensuring accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing stock.
  • Follow FIFO: Adhere to the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to maintain freshness and quality of inventory.
  • Assist Store Management: Support Store and Assistant Store Managers in inventory ordering and placement decisions based on sales trends and stock levels.
  • Optimize Inventory: Work towards optimizing inventory levels to prevent stockouts while minimizing excess inventory, thereby improving operational efficiency.
  • Monitor Stock Levels: Regularly monitor stock levels to anticipate demand fluctuations and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Inventory Audits: Conduct periodic inventory audits to reconcile physical stock counts with recorded inventory levels and address any discrepancies.
  • Inventory Organization: Maintain organized inventory storage areas to facilitate efficient stock retrieval and minimize the risk of damage or loss.
