Shift Technician (Chemical Plant)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Run processes according to established guidelines and operational plans.
• Enhance production efficiency and equipment performance with supervisor approval.
• Conduct regular plant inspections, documenting findings and reporting issues.
• Collect samples for product and process analysis.
• Document and investigate any operational deviations or safety concerns.
• Collaborate on maintenance scheduling and execution, including shutdown and startup procedures.
• Offer support to maintenance and quality control teams as needed.
• Perform shift analyst duties when assigned.
• Act as a backup firefighter when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Chemical Engineering diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, preferably in polymerization, extrusion, or similar processes.
• Fundamental understanding of maintenance practices, chemical engineering principles, and analytical methods.
• Familiarity with computerized control systems (DCS) is a plus.
