Shift Technician (Painter)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Execute painting tasks efficiently and with great attention to details.
• Carry out preventive maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure Hotel standards are exceeded for overall guest comfort.
• Assist the Chief and Assistant Chief Engineer in the day to day operation ofthe maintenance requirements of the hotel.
• Assist in the keeping up to date records on the repair and maintenance ofplant and equipment.
• On completion of daily rounds sign off any relevant section of theMaintenance Manuals.
• Prioritise and carry out maintenance as requested by Departments on a daily basis to ensure the smooth running the hotel.
• Prepare surfaces for painting, including patching, sanding, priming in guestrooms and BOH.
• Report back to relevant department Manager, Manager on Duty or FrontOffice the completion, or delay, of any task that is guest related.
• Follow established safety rules, WH&S regulations and maintains a safe andclean environment.
• Be available to carry out emergency maintenance work outside of normal working hours, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-2 Years’ experience in similar role and hotel experience.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Always displays a professional appearance, representing our Sofitel brand.
• Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends, nights and public holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
