JOB SUMMARY

The Shipment Quality Officer is responsible for ensuring customer freight is loaded to the American Association of Railroads (AAR) standards. The position handles and reviews all customer Load Plan and Securement requests and is integral to both the safe operation of the railway and the reduction of freight claim costs.

EXPERIENCE

Railyard Claims and Damage Prevention

  • Minimum 5 years of railroad claims and damage prevention experience

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/DESIGNATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management

TECHNICAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of computer programs such as Systems, Applications and Products (SAP), Service Reliability System (SRS), Risk Management Systems (RMS), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic knowledge of AAR damage prevention and freight claims process
  • Good understanding of railway operations
