Advanced Flow Systems Contract Manufacturing is looking for an experienced and energetic Shipper/Receiver to join our division in Chilliwack, BC.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Experience with shipping and receiving systems and material handling
  • Experience with maintaining and/or operating a forklift and/or heavy equipment an asset
  • Read and understand processing, handling and application requirements for all Paint Materials and Coating
  • Knowledge of OHS legislation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Intermediate computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Operate from specific and defined directions and instructions, under minimal supervision
  • Assist in management of inventory of shipping materials and supplies
  • Problem solves for any cases of missing documents, shipments, and deliveries
  • Maintain accurate records for all inspected products
  • Receive and inspect all incoming materials ensuring goods match packing list, internal bill of materials and acceptable in quantity and quality
  • Match product with shipping orders and/or purchase orders
  • Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries
  • Ensure outbound shipments contain proper documentation and if multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete and report discrepancies to immediate supervisor
  • Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required
  • Operate a Forklift or Electric Pallet Jack in a safe manner to move product within the manufacturing facility
  • May be required to assist with scheduling freight appointments
  • May be required to perform material handling to support production
  • Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking of shipped product
  • Pictures are to be taken and stored properly for all outboard shipments
  • Maintain a safe work environment, including good housekeeping, proper lifting techniques and proper use of all materials i.e., box cutters
  • Palletizing and crating of shipments
