Description:

Job Overview
The Shipper/Receiver/Driver is responsible for ensuring all parts, products, and materials are shipped and received in a timely manner while also performing general warehouse duties. This role is primarily responsible for shipping all products according to work order requirements and receiving and inspecting all incoming material. This role will adhere to company policies and procedures (Koppert TQM), completing all tasks and functions accurately and in a healthy and safe manner.

Position Competencies

  • Monitor and track shipments to prevent delay in deliveries inbound and outbound.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner; provide solutions to prevent issues from reoccurring.
  • Plan and schedule warehouse activities and deliveries to meet demand and avoid unexpected labour costs
  • Maintain inventory thresholds on products and warehouse supplies to prevent delay in deliveries
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and cost reduction

Summary of Functions

Shipping

  • Run the one-over-one packing process
  • Pack product as per packing slips details
  • Tape, seal, and label boxes
  • Create courier labels
  • Verify all products that were ordered as per packing slip
  • Perform quality checks on incoming products and escalate when necessary
  • Driving vehicle is required for deliveries to customers and picking up products

Maintenance/Housekeeping

  • Perform daily cleaning duties of the warehouse including mopping floors and throwing out the garbage
  • Ensure all equipment, including freezers and coolers, is in good working order
  • Restock any products and place ice packs in freezers

Supply Management

  • Advise Customer Care of supplies that must be replenished
  • Perform monthly physical inventory counts and ensure data aligns with the database

General Competencies and Qualifications

Successful candidates in the Shipper/Receiver/Driver position must demonstrate and obtain:

  • Warehouse experience is an asset
  • Basic proficiency in computer programs and warehouse management systems
  • Forklift license and experience using a hand pump truck is an asset
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable
  • Teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License with no restrictions

Technology Competencies

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other ERP experience
  • Obtain reports using SQL reporting tools and PowerBI
