    Role Overview
    Reporting to the Logistics Team Lead, the Shipper, Receiver, and Material Handler is responsible for general shipping and receiving duties, as well as locating and moving materials and maintaining inventory levels. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a team and who values reliability, strong work ethic, and good communication.
    This is an onsite role, located at our warehouse in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

A Closer Look at What You Will Do

  • Operate a forklift, safely and in accordance with internal policies and mandated legislation.
  • Ability to operate Narrow Aisle Forklift.
  • Perform the following forklift assisted activities:

Specific as Shipper – 80%

  • Gather finished stocks for shipment by identifying, picking, packing, wrapping, labelling and securing product as per shipment picklist
  • Ensure and verify completeness and accuracy of pick and shipping documentation
  • Load picked orders on to trucks upon arrival
  • Perform secondary reviews on orders picked by colleagues
  • Maintain inventory by identifying and properly recording location of inventory and related movements through the system

Specific as Receiver – 20%

  • Ensure trucks are secured for unloading following standard safety protocols
  • Evaluate all goods received by agreeing to purchase orders, physical quantity count verifications, record receipts in the system and label
  • Inspect goods received for damage and prepare any necessary documentation and communications to appropriate parties
  • Move goods from temporary receiving bins to storage bins
  • Record all inventory movements and transactions through hand-held mobile devices and related peripherals
  • Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-usage inspections; document repair requisitions
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times
  • Other duties as required from time to time

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Forklift Certification
  • Narrow Aisle Forklift Certification
  • 3-5 years forklift operator experience. Candidates will be expected to pass a practical test.
  • Excellent physical condition and coordination to be able to lift boxes or move pallets upwards of 50lbs
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Computer and related peripheral skills (hand-held mobile devices, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Works well within a team environment
  • Pro-actively seeks out work to contribute to team efforts
