Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Velocity Truck Centre Canada, formally known as P&R Truck Centre, is looking for a Shipper/Receiver in Saanichton. This position is responsible for coordinating the receipt, storage, and dispatch of parts and accessories, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a well-organized warehouse.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role, preferably within the automotive or commercial transport industry
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred)
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer skills
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items and perform tasks requiring physical exertion

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, unload and unpack shipments, and report any discrepancies or damages
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments accurately, generate shipping labels and documentation, and coordinate with carriers for pick-ups
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and stock audits, updating inventory systems as needed
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized, implementing efficient storage solutions to optimize space and accessibility
  • Collaborate with parts and service departments to ensure timely availability of parts, and communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams
