Location: On-site, Mississauga
Hours: 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
Salary: Starting at $20.00/hr
Position Description
We are looking for a shipping and receiving coordinator to provide logistics support for the delivery of pharmaceutical products. Primary responsibilities range from physical packing of medications into the appropriate protocol, creation of shipping waybills, and receiving of shipping supplies from our vendors. You will be working as part of the logistics team at the pharmacy to ensure that operations execute at a high level. Good communication, strong work ethic, and ability to work on a team are key attributes that we look for in a successful candidate.
The Company
MemberRx is an innovative pharmacy focused on supporting the complex health needs of Ontario’s education community. The pharmacy occupies an 8,000 square feet facility located just south of Toronto Pearson International Airport. We look to provide an elevated pharmacy offering while having a meaningful and measurable impact on health outcomes for Ontario’s educators.
The pharmacy will incorporate elements from other practice areas such as specialty, community, and long-term care, to name a few. The initial focus will be on complex, specialty medications and then expanding into therapies for diabetes and related cardiovascular conditions. From the clinical perspective, the goal is to elevate long-term health outcomes and to meaningfully impact quality of life by reviewing and optimizing medication therapy. The pharmacy also aims to provide timely medication delivery to minimize delays in treatment to enhance the member experience and promote therapeutic adherence. You will be working alongside an expert team of pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and logistics staff to meet each of these objectives.
Success is measured by the member experience, there are no two ways about it. This is where we believe having the right team in place is paramount to achieving our goals. Beyond simply education and experience, we are also seeking those who have a passion for providing best-in-class customer service. We hope that this speaks to you and would like to invite you to be a key part of our organization.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Ensure that shipping materials, such as ice packs and bricks, are properly conditioned in fridges and freezers for use.
  • Waste disposal of unusable shipping materials that are returned to the pharmacy.
  • Creation of shipping labels and waybills.

Competencies

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage in the problem-solving process to provide ideas and insight.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Computer proficiency in working with Microsoft’s productivity suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Competency in inventory management of shipping supplies.
  • Capable of lifting boxes or materials up to 50lbs.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • General warehousing experience is preferred.
