SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years related experience
  • Computer skills include use of WMS software, Microsoft Office (Excel) and SAP
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a customer focused vision
  • Assigns the highest priority to customer satisfaction while meeting commitments to achieve business objectives

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced work environment;
  • Handles all documentation required for shipping product e.g. Customs documents, Bill of Ladings, Packing lists.
  • Printing of shipping and ASN labels required for various customers
  • Sending ASN’s (Advance Shipping Notifications)
  • Use of RF scanning devices when required
  • Booking carrier appointments for pickup
  • Updates calendar for shipment each week
  • Communicates and coordinates with Customer Service on a regular basis
  • Confer with management, vendors or customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
  • Attend various operations meetings and offer updates related to orders ship date, stock shortages and shipments delays.
  • Shop lowest freight rate for prepaid shipments
  • Processes receiving paperwork according to work instructions, including data entry as required.
  • Performs other duties as requested by supervisor or management.
  • Ensures company safety policies are adhered to and safe work habits are utilized by all department personnel and visitors.
