Wakefield Canada Inc. has an excellent opportunity for a full time Shipping Coordinator reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor. The Shipping Coordinator works within a collaborative team and plays a key role in ensuring the receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of products while managing effective inventory controls and the arrangement of goods to maximize productivity levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule inbound appointments for receipts and/or pick ups.
  • Process Freight bills for 3rd party freight deliveries.
  • Administer customer inquiries or returns.
  • Process inventory adjustments as required to ensure accurate inventory visibility.
  • Rate shop and schedule 3rd party carrier pick-ups.
  • Work with retailers, vendors, and businesses and manage key accounts.
  • Generate and distribute monthly receipts and reports to show current POS shipping quantities.
  • Timely and accurate transactions in ERP system including review of weekly open order reports.
  • Work with finance team to review, approve/dispute customer fines.
  • Process carrier loss and damage claims when necessary.
  • Liaise with Customer Care, Sales, Regional Distribution Centers, and Transportation Planner on daily requirements.
  • Manage offsite customer pick-ups (prepare documentation, communication with vendor/customer).
  • Participate in yearly Physical Inventory counts and reconciliation.
  • Maintain the warehouse to meet safety regulations and ensure processes and procedures are followed.
  • Ensure that all WHMIS and HSSE regulations are adhered to.
  • Participate in TDG (Transporting Dangerous Goods) training every 3 years.
  • Special projects as required.
