The role of the Shipping Lead is to lead, develop and manage a team of Shipping Officers in line with customer requirements. It reports directly into the Global Logistics Manager and is a perfect role for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys leading and developing team and has strong stakeholder management experience.
You will be responsible for the following expected key daily duties;
- Ensure that the day to day Shipping Coordination operation runs smoothly, ensuring that all shipping requests are managed in a timely manner
- Be at hand for both the team and wider business to answer enquires and provide support
- Plan and manage a busy workload across the team and maintain a high presence within the work space
- Maximise results through building and maintaining effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Work effectively and creatively to achieve targets through managing trends and continuously improving processes and ways of working, confident to test new ways of working to engage the team
- Enhance and develop the existing capabilities of a team
