JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Sunbelt Rentals – the fastest growing rental business in Canada– is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Coordinator & Driver – You!
As a Shipping/Receiving Coordinator & Driver, you will deliver and recover a variety of equipment, tools, and supplies to and from the customer worksite. This role will drive a flatbed or roll-back truck in a variety of conditions, including urban, suburban, and rural settings. The ability to drive safely in tight settings such as construction zones is required. EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE THAT PREPARES YOU FOR SUCCESS:
- Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Driver’s license with Class 5 Certification and acceptable driver’s record
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES YOU MAY RELY ON:
- 5 Ton Truck driving Experience
- Prior training and/or experience with similar commercial equipment preferred
- Experience with towing equipment ( film equipment, generators etc.)
- Ability in performing physical duties (Moves, secures, installs, builds, loads, or unloads equipment)
- Ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to equipment and vehicle at job sites
- Customer service attitude
Responsibilities:
- Unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with materials to verify accuracy of shipment.
- Inspects incoming shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor.
- Packaging / loading equipment for outbound shipments including wrapping of equipment to protect it from damages while in transit.
- Responsible for pulling parts orders as well as filling Transfer / Sales Orders.
- Make sure product is properly identified with part numbers / labels.
- Performs cycle counts for various floor locations.
