MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN

Primary Responsibility: Responsible for the accurate and safe loading and unloading of glass products and manufacturing materials to support the timely delivery of product to our customers.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in shipping/receiving preferred
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform physical work and may be required to lift, but not limited to 75 lbs.
  • Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, reaching, standing, pushing, and lifting
  • Ability to read, write, and measure product and labels
  • Ability to use logical or rational thinking to resolve issues
  • Ability to perform basic math and measuring functions

Responsibilities:

  • Safely load and unload all trucks in a timely manner
  • Properly scan material in and out of the shipping area
  • Prepare and package products for shipment
  • Inspect that proper product is loaded for correct truck and route
  • Inspect glass quality
  • Strap racks and material properly to ensure safe delivery
  • Operate forklift in safe manner and maintain equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Assist with other duties within manufacturing facility as needed
