SHIPPING AND RETURNS ANALYST – BW RETAIL SOLUTIONS CHESTERFIELD, MI

The ideal candidate will be responsible for compiling and analyzing shipping and returns data for roughly 2 million packages annually in the powersports and outdoor power equipment industries. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in shipping, logistics or e-commerce
• Familiarity with shipping and returns processes and carriers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including advanced functions, pivot tables and data visualization
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or similar
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, shortcuts).
• Strong oral and written English language communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, focus, critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete analysis, draw independent conclusions and make recommendations
• Excellent analytical capabilities, including experience compiling, analyzing, and gathering insights from large data sets.
• Strong organizational skills, including documentation.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
• Non-remote position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
• Rithum for Brands experience, previously known as Channel Advisor

Data Aggregation and Analysis:

• Compile and analyze shipping and returns data for approximately 2 million packages annually
• Aggregate data from multiple sources, including internal systems, external vendors, and customer feedback
• Use statistical methods and data visualization tools to identify trends and patterns
• Develop and maintain dashboards for real-time tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Analyze return ratees on a per SKU and per category basis to identify high-return items and potential issues
• Work with large data sets to perform in-depth analysis and derive actionable insights

Transaction Auditing:

• Conduct regular audits of shipping and returns transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Identify discrepancies and investigate root causes

Recommendations:

• Develop data-driven recommendations to optimize shipping processes, reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction
• Propose strategies to minimize returns and enhance return handling efficiency
• Suggest improvements based on return rate analysis to reduce the frequency of returns for specific SKUs and categories

Communication:

• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to department leaders
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g. product development, customer service, pricing) to implement recommended changes
• Perform other duties as assigned
