QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
• 3 years of work experience in NVOCC preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong ability to multitask.
• Comfort working with multiple groups within business.
• A Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies or equivalent.
• Strong Interpersonal Skills.
• Ability to make decisions at critical moments.
• Experience in using Sysfreight Software preferred.

• Establish and maintain business standards for accuracy, productivity and reliability.
• Manage the daily functions of the business.
• Prepare annual performance review and re-evaluate processes.
• Ensure regulatory, compliance and legal rules are followed.
• Manage budget to align with goals of business.
• Manage a team of import, export, transshipment & nomination staff.
• Plan for team’s development, setup for SOPs where required.
• Monitor and aid in solving day to day issues where needed.
• Managing department budgets and get involved in setting targets.
• Handle Shipping Claims where needed.
• Manage elevated customer concerns and negotiate claims.
• Prepare performance reports & improvement plans.
• Negotiate with Carriers, Warehouse Operators or Distribution networks to determine favourable Tariffs.
