Description:

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for performing a final quality inspection and packaging products per internal training and applicable work instructions. Our products are shipping world-wide and End Users rely on the products built at AMHI. The position requires attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to follow prints, read and interpret documents; use material/equipment properly
  • Monitors own work to ensure quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Knowledgeable on use of common hand tools
  • Knowledgeable on use of computers (training provided for internal systems)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to withstand moderate levels of noise
  • Ability to twist, turn, bend, reach, push, and pull
  • Ability to lift product and other items, up to 60 lbs. Requests assistance with lifting and moving products as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs the final inspection of AMI products per applicable inspection checklists
  • Packages AMI products per internal training and applicable work instructions
  • Follow quality procedures as applicable
  • Responsible for entering the proper information into the UPS/FedEx shipping system and attaching the proper labels to the packaging
  • Notify Quality Assurance if any product or material is nonconforming
  • Notify Inventory Control of any inventory shortages (i.e. packaging materials, parts, etc.)
  • Update internal reprocessed items log for items found during inspection
  • Maintain clean and safe work area
  • Other duties as assigned
