Brief Description
Processes requests and delivers parts and supplies. Maintains records, completes reports, and acts as safety coordinator for the department.
Detailed Description
Orders, receives, picks-up, stores, delivers and returns parts and supplies and contacts suppliers, obtains bids and recommends purchases. Inventories parts and supplies maintains vehicleequipment files and databases regarding maintenance, repair hours and parts replaced and produces reports. Coordinates all safety issues, training, and inspections with the risk management, including workers compensation issues recommends safety meetings and work-site inspections responds to accidents to take photos assists in completing accident reports and maintains records. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Graduation from an accredited high schoolGED Program. Four (4) years of work related experience or 60 hours from an accredited of college or university in a job related field of study or a combination of the two. Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Must possess a valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver�s License, with good driving record. Mandatory drug testing prior to employment, and will be subject to random, unannounced drug andor alcohol testing during employment. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and inventory functions. Knowledge of parts and equipment. Maintenance shop or road construction environment. Requires prolonged kneeling, standing, walking, twisting, climbing and the ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs., assisted. Ability to work in varied conditions (i.e., heat, cold, rain, ice, snow, etc.), inside and outside.
Additional Details
For ASC operations, must have a valid Class B Texas Drivers License and good driving record.&nbsp Will be required to provide a copy of 10-year driving history. Must maintain a good driving record and remain in compliance with Article II, Subdivision II of Chapter 90 of the Dallas County Code.&nbspFor Road &amp Bridge operations, must have a valid Class A Texas Drivers License and good driving record.&nbsp Will be required to provide a copy of 10-year driving history. Must maintain a good driving record and remain in compliance with Article II, Subdivision II of Chapter 90 of the Dallas County Code.&nbspAn extensive pre-employment background investigation will be conducted on all applicants who have been offered a position with Dallas County.&nbsp The hiring process involves successful completion of each step.&nbsp The steps include: Criminal History Review, Traffic Violations Record, Review of Personal History Statement and Documents, Physical Examination, and Background Investigation.
