POSITION OVERVIEW:
As the Fabrication Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading our fabrication team and ensuring the efficient operation of our shop floor. You will play a key role in managing production schedules, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety and teamwork. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication processes, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience in fabrication and manufacturing, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong technical knowledge of fabrication processes, including welding, machining, and assembly.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred; additional education or management program certification is a plus.

Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of fabricators, welders, and other production personnel, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Plan and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring that schedules are met, and quality standards are upheld.
Monitor workflow and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and maximize productivity.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, identifying maintenance needs and scheduling repairs, as necessary.
Track and report on key performance metrics, such as production output, quality metrics, and labor utilization.
Mentor and develop team members, providing opportunities for skill enhancement and career advancement.
