THE OPPORTUNITY
Hansler Industries is looking for a Shop Technician (Heavy Equipment or Automotive) to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- Red Seal Heavy Duty, Commercial Truck, Diesel Engine and Automotive Journeyperson, or Provincial Trade Certification (Canada)
- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license required
- Previous aerial platform and lift truck experience considered an asset
- Strong computer skills and trouble shooting skills
Responsibilities:
As a Shop Technician your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing mechanical maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery
- Ensuring all parts are present before beginning a service job; tracking and following up on parts for ongoing service jobs
- Completing work order forms as required
- Communicating with the Shop Lead, Shop Coordinator, Service Manager, or Technical Support Center regarding service jobs and repair needs
- Following established warranty processes and completing necessary warranty paperwork
- Seeking out additional repair opportunities on retail jobs
