Ideal Requirements:

• Three plus years of mechanical, maintenance, automotive or technical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic power systems, conveyor systems, or control systems.
• Ability to be on feet all day and lift 50lbs regularly.
• Proficient computer skills. Knowledge of Excel, Word and comfortable looking for information
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Experience repairing or maintaining Food Processing/Packaging/Automation Machinery experience is highly desirable.
• Eager to learn.
• Experience on mills, lathes, welding are a plus for this role

As a customer-focused technical expert, the Shop Technician will apply primarily mechanical skills, and sound knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic systems to perform machine setups, preventative maintenance and repairs to food processing and food packaging machinery. This role is critical to our field technicians and customers’ success.

• Setup and testing of new machines and documenting work done.
• Read mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications and service manuals to determine work procedures.
• Drill/Tap/Cut/Finish Metal and Plastic
• Follow directions to prepare machines for CSA.
• Communicate with parts, service, and sales daily.
• General shop upkeep, assistance, and cleaning.
• Participate in new projects to improve the safety and performance of existing and new equipment.
• Crate/Uncrate equipment and building skids as needed.
• Comfortable using power tools and hand tools.
