Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of forest management practices, specifically silviculture operations, and a proven track record of supervising teams and projects. This role is essential for ensuring that our forest management activities are carried out safely, efficiently, sustainably, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Supervise and coordinate silviculture activities including silviculture survey programs and planting implementation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of field staff promoting safe work procedures, ensuring effective communication, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with clients and other business units to align silvicultural practices with broader forest management objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and Provincial legislation and regulations.
  • Develop, manage, and report on project plans and budgets to achieve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges related to field operations and project execution.
