Description:

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We want you as a talented Simulation Model Engineer to help us in our mission by:

  • Developing and validating models of physical systems and avionics equipment
  • Contributing to the development and validation of the real-time simulator used on the Hardware In The Loop (HIL) platform

Responsibilities:

In your capacity as a Simulation Model Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include:

  • Specifying systems and avionics equipment models in conformity with end-users needs,
  • Proposing innovative solution to ensure end-users needs are met,
  • Conducting and carrying out the development of models of physical systems and avionics equipment
  • Validating the representativity of the stand-alone models
  • Contributing to the development and the validation of the full simulator (including multiple models) used on the Hardware in the Loop (HIL) platforms
  • Troubleshooting and resolving anomalies observed during test campaigns

In the role of Simulation Model Engineer ideally, you will have the following:

  • Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • Technical knowledge of modelling technics activities and simulation,
  • Knowledge of at least one of these software languages : C++ , Python, Matlab, Simulink, Java
  • Ability to quickly prototype simple models, simulators and embedded software
  • Genuine interest and passion for modelling Software activities and Software programming
  • Basic knowledge of system engineering and understanding of spacecraft systems
  • Team player – you love working in a team and share/propose ideas.
