Join a department that has advanced the use of distributed simulation in weapon system design and development!
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and passionate Technical Project Lead / Engineering Manager, to join our Weapons Systems Simulation and Experimentation team.
Job Title: Simulation & Software Professionals
Salary: circa £65,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Stevenage or Bristol (we may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)
Dynamic (hybrid) working: typically, 3 days per week on-site, due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU:

We are looking for passionate projects leads, to head up all elements of a technical program, to support MBDA develop the latest weapon systems.
You will be responsible for a multidiscipline team, to deliver innovative solutions, whilst utilising the latest technologies, to support MBDA across the whole project lifecycle, using software and hardware to represent / simulate MBDA weapon systems.
We are looking for people who can deliver complex solutions, whilst balancing technical benefits, business costs and operational constraints.

Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate.

  • A proven record of accomplishment delivering software and or hardware solutions.
  • Project definition and management using agile principles (planning, milestones, critical path)
  • Excellent client facing and internal communication skills.
  • Stakeholder Influence and management.
  • Team leadership / people management
  • The ability to manage requirements and change. management
  • A proactive approach to managing and mitigating risks.
