This new post in the housing department at London Borough of Bexley, offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, that is playing a key role in preventing homelessness.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The candidate is expected to be an expert in the field of homelessness, with an in-depth knowledge and working experience of Part V11 Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002, HRA 2017, and Code of Guidance. With Working experience of Ending Rough Sleeping plan, and Rough Sleeping Initiative.
- Proven track record in developing and delivering services which effectively prevent homelessness and support vulnerable people.
- Experience of managing budgets, including the ability to undertake financial analysis and budgetary control.
- Experience of working effectively with elected Members and in partnership with other agencies including the voluntary sector and private landlords.

The Single Homelessness Prevention and Rough Sleeping Lead - is a brand-new role for London Borough of Bexley.
Main Purpose of the job:
- Lead and develop the Single Homelessness Prevention and Rough Sleeping Team, ensuring high standards and targets are consistently met.
- Plan the strategic direction for the services based on analysis of service trends, emerging guidance and relevant targets to ensure strategic priorities are met.
- Lead on the development and delivery of Bexley’s rough Sleeping Strategy, associated documents and delivery plans, all of which will sit alongside the Housing and the Homeless strategies.
- Coordinate multi-agency arrangements and partnerships to meet the needs of single homeless and rough sleepers.
- Contribute to the Senior Management Team of the Housing Service, ensuring a coordinated approach.
