Description:
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Post registration course in chemotherapy administration
- Significant experience within Oncology/Haematology
- Effective interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills and is respectful to a diverse range of patients from various cultures and backgrounds, with the confidence to assess situations and make clinical decisions appropriately.

Responsibilities:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivery of individualised patient care of the highest standard, acting as the named nurse, ensuring the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation is in line with evidence base practices.
- To take a senior role within the ward, providing leadership and mentorship to more junior members of staff.
- Promote safe practice and professional conduct, and competent in the recognition of life threatening/ emergency situations.
- Organise workload in-line with clinical priorities, and establish good working relationships with specialist practitioners and the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the effective care and treatment of patients.
- Contribute to research and development programmes as well as uphold quality initiatives that improve ‘customer/patient care’ as well as participate in the audit process where appropriate.
As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of patient centred care, including the appropriate assessment and evaluation of nursing interventions and ongoing care planning, quality improvement and service delivery alongside the multidisciplinary team. You will also play a senior role within the ward, designated to take charge.
- Job Location: This role is located at The London Clinic’s Duchess of Devonshire Wing in London, W1G 6BW (Close to Regents Park & Baker Street tube stations).
- Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday. Shifts are days only, with no weekend work.
- Salary: The salary range for this role is £41,310 - £50,481 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting and shift enhancements), depending on skills and experience.
